Hollister

Westfield White City London, UK

10,000 square feet on two levels

Built by the Westfield Development Group, the Westfield Mall, London, England, is currently the biggest shopping mall in Western Europe. No surprise that Abercrombie & Fitch chose this location to build their first two story storefront and at over 10,000 sq ft, the largest Hollister rollout store to date.

Although the ground floor is a typical Hollister layout it encompasses the latest design updates including custom wall coverings and crystal chandeliers. The two story storefront, a first of its kind, required a design/build approach incorporating structural steel to enable a mezzanine deck at the front of the store for display and a platform for models to stand and dance upon. This front was built and coordinated into the actual fabric of the building, both aesthetically and structurally. Despite redesigns, the mall opening date was adhered to. Due to the success of this venture Abercrombie has decided to continue this two story “house” design.
