Tanishq
Paramus, New Jersey
1200 square feet
Mackenzie Keck was responsible for the construction and engineering of every aspect of the store including general contracting, customized fixture fabrication and installation, display elements, technical upgrades, and computer network configuration.
The project features the highly specialized materials and fine workmanship that have come to distinguish Mackenzie Keck projects. Antique pine flooring, hand-troweled decorative plaster, custom handcrafted concrete tiles and live green plantings all contribute to Tanishq’s organic and mystical atmosphere.
By rethinking the entire jewelry buying experience, the store design creates opportunities for better interaction between the employees and customers. An organic non-orthogonal layout inside the store encourages customers to meander through the space. Plants cascade over the tops of white concrete and terra-cotta colored plaster walls culminating in a wall of ivy across the back of the store.
